Leonardo Vannimartini was born in 1995 in Rome where he studied guitar at the Conservatorio di Musica Santa Cecilia in the class of Arturo Tallini, graduating cum laude in 2022. He also attended annual masterclasses  with Paolo Pegoraro at the Segovia Guitar Accademy in Pordenone, with Oscar Ghiglia at the Accademia Chigiana in Siena and with Fredéric Zigante at the festival Corde di Primavera in Frosinone.

He has won several awards at international competitions, such as most recently first prize at the Brussels International Guitar Competition (2023) and at the 1st Lugano International Music Competition (2022). He is currently assistant of maestro Arturo Talllini at the Conservatorio di Musica Santa Cecilia and also teaching guitar at the high school Istituto Comprensivo Cesare Chiominto and at the Accademia Musicale Clivis APS in Rome

Leonardo regular performs concerts both as a soloist and in duo with flute.
