Filippos Manoloudis (2001, Kavala, Greece) is one of the leading classical guitarists of Greece. Praised by the Gendai Guitar Magazine for his “stunning technique and expressive power”, he is described as an “all-round player”, flawlessly interpreting music spanning various periods and styles.

He started playing the guitar at the age of 7 in his hometown of Kavala with Alexandros Parisidis. A year later, he started receiving lessons from Fotis Koutsothodoros, with whom he received his soloist diploma at the age of 17. In 2019 he enrolled in the bachelor’s degree program at the Academy of Music in Darmstadt, Germany, in Tilman Hoppstock’s guitar class, graduating with honors in October 2023. Since January 2024 he is pursuing a master’s degree in classical guitar performance of the University of Alicante, Spain, with a scholarship provided by Alhambra Guitarras, with professors such as David Russell, Manuel Barrueco, Ignacio Rodes, Sergio Assad, Duo Melis, Xavier-Diaz Lattorre, Fabio Zanon and Judicael Perroy 

Since 2015 he has been performing solo concerts, nationally and internationally, giving recitals and masterclasses in Greece, Italy, Spain, Bulgaria, Germany, Austria, Belgium, Kosovo, China, Japan, Mexico, Costa Rica, Brazil and the US. He is often part of the juries of professional international guitar competitions, such as the Changsha Guitar Competition in China.

Filippos has been awarded prizes at the most prestigious guitar competitions  worldwide. In 2022 he was the 1st prizewinner of the Koblenz International Guitar Competition in Germany and of the 65th Tokyo International Guitar Competition in Japan. He has also been awarded the “Young Artist of Changsha” award in Changsha International Guitar Competition 2021 in China.

He took part in guitar masterclasses with world-renowned guitarists such as Leo Brouwer, Oscar Ghiglia, Pablo Márquez, Zoran Dukic, Pavel Steidl and Aniello Desiderio.

Together with three fellow students from the Music Academy in Darmstadt, he forms the Frequency Guitar Quartet with whom he often performs in Germany and abroad.

He is a D’Addario Artist and performs on Koumridis Guitars.
