Musiques à Versailles
Product of a collaborative partnership between organisations from different backgrounds and expertise (cultural, religious and social organisations, universities and businesses), Musiques à Versailles offers a wide program of concerts, meetings, Masterclasses and other cultural events. The concert series brings together great figures from the French and international music scene as well as young performers at the onset of their careers. In addition to the splendid Trianon Palace, events are hosted by various other less-known venues of Versailles, offering the audience an opportunity to admire the interiors of some of the finest and most evocative buildings in town, such as Cathédrale Saint Louis, Théàtre Montansier, Synagogue de Versailles, Église Notre-Dame de Versailles, Église Sainte-Jeanne d’Arc de Versailles and Salons de l’Hôtel de Ville. Starting from the great masterpieces of the classical repertoire, the program also opens up to jazz, world music and contemporary work in a spirit of cultural openness. Furthermore, Musiques à Versailles is committed to supporting composers and promoting the commissioning of works and the dissemination of the modern repertoire.
On 30 April 2018, as part of the cciMB 2018 Festival, Musique à Versailles will host cciMB 2013 winner Emanuele Buono and string quartet Quatuor Strada for a concert at the Trianon Palace Versailles.
