Luis Guevara

Luis Guevara began his guitar studies in 2002 at the Liceo of Experimental Arts with Professor Marco Correa and continued his study with Ernesto Quezada at the Faculty of Arts University of Chile, graduating in 2013. Luis has given concerts throughout the country, both as a soloist and chamber musician. He has repeatedly starred in newspapers and radio programs, both nationally and internationally, with as highlight his interview in the program Young Music Classical Radio, National Radio of Spain broadcasted in 2013.

Luis Guevara has already won numerous awards at international classical guitar competition including 1st Prize and best interpretation of the compulsory work of Miguel Llobet at the IX International Classical Guitar Competition "Miguel Llobet", Barcelona (Spain, 2012); best performer of the set piece by Jorge Fernandez War at the 19th Warrior Foundation Guitar Competition, Madrid (Spain, 2012); 6th place at the 6th Iserlohn Guitar Competition, Germany (2014) a contest with more than 130 guitarists worldwide participating; and first prize at the International Guitar Competition Guitar Without Borders, Chile (2015), at the  Carlos Pimentel Guitar Competition, Chile (2016) and at the Homenaje International Guitar Competition, Chile (2016).
