Andrea Roberto

Born in Foggia, Italy, Andrea Roberto, began studying guitar at age 4 with his father and later with Sandro Torlontano at the conservatory U. Giordano obtaining his diploma with honours at age 14. After studying with Aniello Desiderio, he completed his studies at the Conservatory of Maastricht, Netherlands, with Carlo Marchione. He has performed solo recitals in Italy, Spain, Portugal, Germany, Netherlands, Finland, Mexico, Argentina, Brasil and United States. In May 2012, he was selected among the 15 most talented guitarist in the world to participate in the Parkening International Guitar Competition, becoming the youngest competitor ever in the history of the competition. Other awards include first prize at the 2nd International Competition of the Adriatic, Pescara, Italy (2012), the 4th International Competition of Pisa Stefano Strata (2013), the International Guitar Competition of Twente, the Netherlands (2016) and the International competition Jose Tomas – Villa de Petrer, Spain (2016). In April 2017, he recorded his first CD El viaje de la guitarra italiana with JSM Guitar Records.
